The deep integration of the new generation of information technology and manufacturing industry is causing far-reaching industrial upgrading. According to China Manufacturing 2025 Plan, intelligent equipment and intelligent factories based on information physics technology are leading the change of manufacturing methods. The global industrial competition pattern will undergo a major adjustment and the manufacturing industry will face a new round of challenges.
Based on the requirements of the Intelligent Manufacturing Development Plan (2016-2020) and the Implementation Guide for Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering (2016-2020), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China focuses on five intelligent manufacturing modes to encourage the integration and application of new technologies and conduct selection and evaluation of demonstration pilot projects of intelligent manufacturing. In July this year, ZRP Printing & Packaging's "Intelligent Manufacturing of High-grade Paper Products Packaging" project passed an expert on-site review and won the title of National Demonstration Pilot Project of Intelligent Manufacturing.

ZRP's automation and information construction started earlier among its peers. Since the 1990s, ZRP's equipment renovation has been guided by the idea of replacing manual operation with automation. The intelligent manufacturing project of high-grade paper product packaging aims at the needs of ZRP for intelligent upgrade and transformation, including the overall planning and design of intelligent factories, the introduction of full-automatic high-speed printing and other equipment and supporting equipment to create intelligent automatic production lines with interconnection and intercommunication, the construction of intelligent logistics system, including the industry's largest single stereoscopic warehouse, WMS system and intelligent dispatching and distribution TMS system based on AGV/RGV, the deployment of production execution system SFC (MES) and production scheduling system (APS) in digital workshop to build production operation management platform, the networked manufacturing resources collaboration to realize product design, supply chain and service chain collaboration, the establishment of a mass customization service platform to meet the personalized needs of customers and the construction of a big data platform with intelligent factory data aggregation and intelligent analysis to assist the factory's operation decision-making.
Aimed at the main problems faced by the packaging and printing industry, the project improves the manufacturing process through the integration of production and logistics data, provides value-added services to customers, and enhances the core competitiveness of enterprises. As the only printing and packaging enterprise among the five shortlisted enterprises in Guangdong Province, ZRP also has a keen insight of its mission and pressure while gaining recognition. As the forerunner of the industry, ZRP will rely on this project to promote the transformation and upgrading of the printing and packaging industry under the trend of intelligent manufacturing, give full play to its leading role in the industry and make greater contributions to the social and economic construction and the promotion of the comprehensive competitiveness of the industry.
